Three Ways To Get InvolvedMaidstone and the Weald Liberal Democrats campaign all year round on issues that really matter to local people. From the most local street issues to backing campaigners working to stop the loss of full maternity services at Maidstone hospital, to fighting for local community centres - the Liberal Democrats are working for the whole area. However you can help, our campaigning relies on volunteers and donations - we are not backed by big business and trade unions, and our leaflets and campaigning are paid for and distributed through local donations and support. Make a Donation
Unlike the Conservatives who receive many large donations from big businesses and multi-millionaires, the Liberal Democrats mainly rely on our members and supporters for funding. With thousands of supporters across the country each making a small donation, we raise our funds to pay for leaflets, newspapers and campaigning. Every extra pound we have to spend in Maidstone and the Weald will be spent on local campaigning. Every pound of your donation will help us make our campaigning here in Maidstone and the Weald even more effective. Peter Carroll and the Liberal Democrats fight with local residents on issues that matter to local people. Just £20 would pay for 1,000 leaflets to deliver to local homes. £80 would pay for enough leaflets for an entire ward. £240 would pay for all our web site and on line campaigning costs for a year. £500 would pay for a posted letter to 1,000 voters. Whatever amount you can afford, your donation will make a difference. Whatever you can afford, your donation would be used to make a real difference to the campaign. Please support our campaign with a donation today - either by using the links below to make a donation on-line with your credit or debit card via Paypal, or by sending a cheque payable to "Maidstone Liberal Democrats" to Maidstone Lib Dems, Freepost Maidstone ME16 8BR. Thank you!
Make Sure You Can Vote
At each election, many people fully intend to vote but then end up busy on pollling day and don't get the chance to make their voice heard. Make sure your vote and voice is heard by making sure you are on the register, and applying for a postal vote. Every elector is entitled to vote by post, and your ballot paper will be sent to you around 2 weeks before polling day, with clear instructions and a reply paid envelope. You can vote at home, and return your vote before polling day - otherwise it's so easy to forget! If you are a registered elector in Maidstone and the Weald, you can register to vote by post using the link below, complete the form and return to the address supplied. If you are not sure if you are on the electoral register and entitled to vote, you can either use the link below to register, or call Maidstone Borough Council Electoral Registration helpline on 01622 602000 or Tunbridge Wells Borough Council on 01892 554106.
